Calvary Baptist Church is a congregation of people shepherded by a team of pastors that seeks to be a God-centered, Bible-based, family-oriented ministry. We want to make life-long disciples of Jesus Christ in alignment with the Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father. We want to be a place of Godward refuge and refreshment. We want Calvary to be what would be called in the Hebrew language a Beth-Rahamim ("house of mercies"). We want to reflect the image of Christ as described in Isaiah 42:3: "...a bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not quench...."
During our Sunday morning service, Pastor Phil Siefkes is teaching through the New Testament book of John verse by verse. Sermon notes from this series can be found on the Sermon Outlines tab.
Our Family Bible Time offers a discipleship setting for you and your family to learn and grow. Pastor Jeff Jakobitz normally teaches this class. He has been discipling us concerning trusting God in everyday living. Beginning April 15, 2012, Pastor Phil will begin a short series of lessons presenting PowerPoint slides of his recent study trip to the land of Israel.
During our mid-week service, we are in a study of the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy. On the first Wednesday of each month, we host an "Open Forum" during which people can ask our elders any questions they have about the Bible and one's spiritual walk.
